Development

In September 2012 London Square submitted plans to Wandsworth Council to redevelop 113 Upper Richmond Road. These plans were approved in January 2013.

The following September, a planning application to redevelop the neighbouring building, 111 Upper Richmond Road, was submitted, which received planning consent in January 2014. Together these two neighbouring buildings form the London Square Putney development.

We have appointed award-winning architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris to transform these two under-occupied office buildings into a high quality mixed use development, creating new homes, modern office space and improving the streetscape along Upper Richmond Road with active retail frontages.

The development will provide 113 new homes, flexible, high quality commercial and office space at ground and first floor level and 64 basement car parking spaces for residents. It will also improve the appearance and experience of the public realm along this part of Upper Richmond Road.

Improvements to the public realm include:

  • A new public square
  • Activating the ground floor with new retail space
  • Retaining the existing tree line on Upper Richmond Road
  • Planting mature trees on the north elevation
  • Creating softer edges along the western and southern boundaries realm of the square with planters
